Lucille D. (Burmeister) Lehmkuhl was born in February 9, 1907 as the fourth child of Louis and Fredericka (Laas) Burmeister. She walked on crutches from early life until her death.

On September 21, 1935, she married August "Gus" Lehmkuhl.  They lived in Toledo had no children.

August was born August 20, 1903 in Germany and came to America on the SS Columbus on August 16, 1924. The 1930 U.S. Census, showed 27 year old Gus and 17 year old Arthur Heiden living as farm workers on the Fred Degner farm north of Ida, Michigan.

Lucille died on April 17, 1982 at the age of 75 in the Long-Term Care Facility in Toledo, Ohio. Gus died at the age of 78 on November 14, 1981.
