Alvin Frederick Rambow was born November 1, 1901 and was the first child born to Henry Martin, III and Caroline (Weilnau) Rambow. The place of the birth was the family home in Britton, Michigan.

On November 27, 1927, Alvin married Hildreth Gladys Zimmerman in Riga Township, Lenawee County, Michigan. They had six children.

Alvin was an officer with the Detroit Police and lived in the City of Detroit through his 25 year career.

Alvin died on February 14, 1973 in Tifton, Georgia while on a trip to Florida. He was 71 years old and is buried in Maple Grove Cemetery in Dundee, Michigan.

Hildreth who was born on February 11, 1907 in Blissfield, Michigan passed away on November 24, 1988. She was 81 years old.
