Charles W. Underwood was born December 26, 1863 as the son of Eliza Jane (Getty) and William Underwood.

He married Nellie Curry and they had one child: Mabel Underwood

He died on January 21, 1912 at the age of 48. Nellie who was born on June 30, 1866, died on October 26, 1915 at the age of 49.
