Wilbur Grant Getty was born November 9, 1923 as the daughter of Wilbur Kenneth and Isabel (Grant) Getty.

He was married to Marilyn E.B. Sparks and they had three children:

1. Charles Wayne Getty

2. Ronald Kenneth Getty

3. Raymond Grant Getty

Wilbur died on August 16, 1995 at the age of 68. He is buried at Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, California.
