Donald Elmer Koster (left) was the only child of Alice (Getty) and Elmer Koster (right) He was born on June 18, 1927 in Dundee, Michigan.

During his school years, he and his mother, Alice, were living in Spokane, Washington. He attended Lewis and Clark High School.

According to the 1950 U.S. Census, he lived at the Puget Sound Naval Shipyard in Kitsap, Washington.

He was in the U.S. Navy from January 1, 1947 to January 1, 1956.

On February 6, 1960, he married Donna Clarke in San Diego, California. As far as we know, they had no children.

On February 1, 2011, Donald died in La Mesa, San Diego County, California at the age of 83.

Donald's mother married a second time later and was known as Alice Gretsinger.
