George Albert Behm was born on Monday, January 22, 1906 in Hammonton, New Jersey. He was the son of Albert Adam and Ella (King) Behm.

In 1910, George was living with his parents at 2128 Watson Street in Camden City, Camden County, NJ. By 1920, they were at 289 Thirteenth Street in Hammonton in Atlantic County, NJ.

Circa 1925, he married Mary R. Colligan who had been born on May 20, 1903. They had four children.

The 1930 census shows George, Mary and son, George, Jr. living at 2742 Carp Street in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. They were paying $20 per month in rent. The 1940 census found them residing at 2741 Earp Street in Philadelphia and George was working at P.T.C. for an annual salary of $1,144.00.

Other place George lived included 412 West Annsbury Street in Philadelphia and in Wenonah, Gloucester County, NJ. He had served as a committeeman for the 42nd Ward in Philadelphia.

George died on December 29, 1990 at the age of 84. He was buried in Hillside Cemetery in Roslyn, Pennsylvania. He had been living in Phoenixville in Chester County, PA . At the time of his death, he had fourteen grandchildren and twenty great grandchildren.

Mary passed away on May 28, 1981 at the age of 78. She was also buried at Hillside Cemetery.
