Maria Margareta "Mary" (Rehmann) Emeley was born on Friday, October 13, 1876 in New Germany (now Egg Harbor City), Buena Vista Twp, Atlantic County, New Jersey. She was the seventh child of Heinrich Frederick and Christina (Roller) Rehmann.

She married Joseph Emeley (22 Apr 1873-1945)

In the 1900 census, she and her husband were living at 134 South Second St, Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey. Mary was listed as a weaver in a cotton mill. The 1910 census show them living with her parents on State Road in Franklin Township, Gloucester County, New Jersey. In 1920, she, her husband and her parents were located at 308 Rose St., Millville, Cumberland County, New Jersey.

Maria died in 1960 in Millville, New Jersey and is buried at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Newfield, NJ. Joseph, who was born April 22, 1873 in Berkley Shores, NJ died in 1945 in Millville and is also buried at Rose Hill Cemetery.
