Raymond Daniel Reibel was born on Sunday, February 11, 1894 in Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey. He was the fourth child of Julia (Rehmann) and John J. Reibel.

In the 1900 census, he, his parents and siblings were living on Twelfth Street in Hammonton. The 1910 report has him working as a laborer on a squash farm. By 1917, Raymond was living at 100 North Kenwood Avenue in Baltimore, Maryland.

On October 3, 1917, he joined the U.S. Army as a private in Company C of the 313 Infantry during World War I. He left the service on May 1, 1918 as a corporal.

The 1920 census shows Raymond and his wife, Louise G. Rittle, living at 518 N. Lakewood Avenue in Baltimore where he worked as a laborer in a shipyard. In 1930, he had switched to selling insurance for Eureka Life Insurance Company and was living with his in-laws, George and Barbara Rittle, at 3231 Shannon Drive in Baltimore. They were still at that address in 1942.

Circa 1919, he married Louise G. Rittle who was born circa 1902.

Raymond died in June of 1966 at the age of 72.
