Rose Rehmann was born in February of 1910 as the daughter of Julius C., Sr. and Rosie (Menger) Rehmann.

In the 1910, 1920 and 1930 census reports, she was living with her parents and siblings on a farm at 720 Twelfth Street in Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey. By 1930, Rose was working as an operator in a pants factory.
