Irma (Rehmann) Berstecher was born in September of 1929 in Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey. She was the daughter of Julius C., Sr. and Rosie (Menger) Rehmann.

In the 1930 census report, she was living with her parents and siblings on a farm at 720 Twelfth Street in Hammonton, Atlantic County, New Jersey.

She married Charles Robert Bertecher and they had two children:

1. Dr. Robert W. Berstecher, D.D.S.

2. Rev. Dr. John H. Berstecher (1955-2011)

Irma died on March 19, 2012 at Fairmount Homes at the age of 82. She was buried in the Forest Hills Cemetery in Philadelphia.

Charles, who was born circa 1917, died on December 4, 2008 and is also buried in Forest Hills Cemetery. He was 91 at the time of death.
