to a Google search, The Lady Arbeiters was a branch of
the Arbeiter Verin or Workers Association. It
styled itself as a working people's organization and
emphasized good times and physical fitness. Many of the
members in the Dundee area were either immigrants or
their relatives who originated in the
Mecklenburg region of German in the late 1800s.
