Julia 'Annette' M. (McCallie) Getty, a retired teacher and owner of the Hallmark Hall of Cards at Lewiston, died of cardiac arrest Wednesday afternoon at St. Joseph's Regional Medical Center At Lewiston. She was 92.

Mrs. Getty taught math and general science at Lewiston High School from 1919 to 1923 and then was a teacher at Annie Wright Seminary at Tacoma from 1943 to 1947.

She owned and operated the Hallmark Hall of Cards in downtown Lewiston From 1947 to 1965 and from 1965 to 1969, she was greeting card department manager at Stewarts in Kailua, Hawaii. Mrs. Getty returned to Lewiston in 1969.

She was born Feb. 16, 1895, at Moscow, to John H, and Julia E. McCallie. She lived in Moscow and then Kamiah, where she was graduated from high school in 1914. In 1919, she graduated from the University of Idaho at Moscow, where she was a member fo the first pledge class at Kappa Kappa Gamma Sorority.

She and Ronald Getty were married Aug. 29, 1922, at Lewiston. He died Feb. 5, 1964.

Mrs. Gety was a member and past president of Chapter Q, P.E.O. She also held office in the Women's Association of the Congregational-Presbyterian (Federated) Church at Lewiston. She organized the Red Cross Motor Corps during World War II.

Her interests included traveling, reading, and the natural science of geology, geography, and anthropology.

Survivors include a son, Ronald "Mac" Getty of Miami, Fla.; a daughter, Joanne "Jody" Norman of Carmel Valley, Calif.; and four grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two brothers, Horton and Hugh McCallie, and a sister, Margaret Moore.
