 Helen
A. Heiden, age 92, of Dundee, Michigan passed away at the Ebeid
Hospice in Sylvania on Monday, August 25, 2014. She was born
September 5, 1921 in Newport, Michigan the daughter of Julius
and Augusta (Maxon) Jaworksi Sr.
She married Ervin F. Heiden
September 28, 1940 at St. John Lutheran Church in Dundee. They
celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary in 1990. He passed
away January 26, 1996.
Helen attended Dundee Schools and
graduated from Beauty School in Adrian. After working for a shop
in Dundee, she opened her own hair salon in Dundee. She was a
beautician for 35 years.
She was a member of St. John
Lutheran Church where she was confirmed and married. She is also
a member of the Dundee Senior Citizens. She loved to bake and
cook and loved playing bingo with her friends, and spending time
with her family.
She is survived by a son: Allen
of Dundee; granddaughters Holly Redli, Kristine (Gregory)
Gerlach and Connie (Nick) Herrera, Joshua (Courtney) Heiden and
Zachary Heiden; great-grandchildren Betty, James, Harley,
Crystal, Paul, Alexander, NJ, Olivia, Meranda, Lonnie and Finn.;
son in law Charles (Chuck) (Judy Greer) Mills of Dundee.
She was preceded in death by her
husband Ervin, daughter Bonnie Bruns Mills in 2003, her son in
law Paul Bruns in 1987, brothers Julius and Leo, and sisters
Augusta Helle, Pauline DeClercq, Emma Vetter and Elsie Ferguson.
Friends may call on Thursday,
August 28, 2014 from 2 – 7 PM at the Cover Funeral Home, 297
Tecumseh St, Dundee (734-529-3156). She will lie in state from 9
AM until 10 AM services at St. John Lutheran Church, 460 Riley
Street in Dundee. Officiating will be Rev. Jennifer Kiefer,
pastor of the church. Interment will follow at Maple Grove
Cemetery in Dundee. Memorials may be made to the Ladies
Auxiliary to the Dundee American Legion Post 72 or to St. John
Lutheran Church. |
