Patricia Ellen Gurtzweiler was born in Monroe, Michigan on November 7, 1942. She was the youngest of three children born to Ronald Gurtzweiler and Marguerite (Williams) Gurtzweiler.

Pat graduated from Tecumseh High School with the Class of 1960. On August 20, 1960 she wed Wayne Heiden, Sr at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ida, Michigan. The couple enjoyed fifty-four years of marriage and were blessed with two sons.

Pat was employed as a pharmacy tech for twenty-five years. She began her career at Allen Apothecary in Ida which later became Village Pharmacy. She retired in 2001. Pat and her husband Wayne spent their golden years traveling between their home in Michigan and Frostproof, Florida. The “snowbirds” enjoyed camping at Paradise Acres Senior Campground.

Patricia Ellen Heiden, age 79, of Dundee, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly at home on Sunday, March 20, 2022. Her passing was preceded by her parents; husband: Wayne Heiden Sr. in 2014; son: Chris Allen Heiden in 1997; and two siblings.

Left to cherish her memory are her son: Wayne (Donna) Heiden Jr. and two granddaughters: May (Tommy) Goodburn and Chelsea (Peter) Bixby.

No public services are planned and cremation has taken place through Covenant Cremation of Erie, Michigan.
