Frank "Jack" Heiden July 2, 1917- Dec. 21, 2008
William Frank "Jack" Heiden, 91 yrs. of Monroe, died Sunday
night at Mercy Memorial Hospital , Monroe.
Friends may call at the Capaul Funeral Home, Ida, Tuesday from
5-9 PM. He will lie in state Wednesday at
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church, Ida, from 10 AM until services at 11 AM. Pastor
Ted Kerr will officiate. Burial will be in Prince of Peace
Cemetery.
Born July 2, 1917, Jack was the son of William and Mary (Rambow)
Heiden. He married Helen Henning December 6, 1938 in Angola, IN.
They celebrated their 70th Anniversary this month.
Mr. Heiden retired from La-Z-Boy in 1979 and from farming in
1980. He had also worked for Tecumseh Products and Wolverine
Fabricating.
Jack was a member of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church and the
Dundee Senior Citizens. He loved having coffee with his friends
every morning at the Hayloft in Ida, traveling to see family and
friends, gardening, going to casinos, and was known as the
"Euchre King".
Suvivors include: his wife Helen; three sons, Jim (Judy), of
Brantford, ONT, Dick (Linda), of New Richmond, OH, Gene
(Victoria), of Ida; four daughters, Carol (Gordon) Toburen, of
Manheim, PA, Janice (Tom) Clark, of Hendersonville, TN, Dianne
(Harlan) Houpt, of Dundee. Cheryl (Denny) Stevens, of Monroe; a
sister, Nora Jean Heiden, of Monroe; twenty-one grandchildren,
forty great grandchildren, and four great great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by four brothers, Carl, Leo, Lester,
and Art and seven sisters, Edna Berns, Hilda Fuller, Mildred
Eipperle, Helma Nickel, Marie Tommelien, Helen Heiden, and Wilma
Bicking.
Memorial contributions for Mr. Heiden may be made to Prince of
Peace Lutheran Church or the Dundee Senior Citizens. |
