Anita
L. Klatt, age 64 of Monroe, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 2,
2026 in her home.
Born September 8, 1961 in Monroe, Anita was the daughter of the late
James and Frances (Nunn) Kelley.
She attended Monroe High School and married Richard C. Klatt, Sr. on
June 27, 1986 in Monroe. Together they raised three children.
Anita had a big heart and enjoyed life. She was an avid U of M Football
fan and enjoyed playing Bingo and Euchre.
Anita is survived by her husband Richard; two sons, Richard Klatt, Jr.
and Robert (Katie Stevens) Klatt, both of Monroe; brother, Michael Jason
Gray of Monroe; and grandson, Greyson.
Extra special relatives of Anita include sister-in-law, Marilyn Allred
of Portage, IN; niece, Cindy Allred of Portage, IN, great-nephew, Mark
Devyak of Portage, IN, and cousin, Judy (David) Zurek of Monroe; and
many other nieces, nephews and cousins.
In addition to her parents, sadly, Anita was preceded in death by her
daughter Cloe Klatt on Sept. 30, 2025, and a brother, Lewis “Rocky”
Kelley.
All are welcome to attend a celebration of Anita’s life on Monday, Feb.
9th at Bacarella Funeral Home. Visitation will begin at 11 a.m. with
sharing of memories at 12 p.m. Cremation will follow in accordance with
family wishes.
Due to the suddenness of Anita’s passing, the family would appreciate
monetary acts of kindness in lieu of flowers to assist with expenses. |
