Janet was
born in 1933 and died on December 13th 2016.
She was married to Charles E. Wright for 63
years and they had seven children together.
She was a native of Michigan, but lived
fourteen years in Cleveland, TN and the last
year and a half in Pensacola, FL with her
daughters.
Janet is
preceded in death by her husband, Charles,
her eldest son, Edwin Charles Wright, her
parents, Ervin and Frances Roggerman, a
granddaughter, Erin Wright, and her sister
Charlene Ackerman.
Janet leaves
behind six children, Kathryn Walker (Jim) of
Wisconsin; Victoria Curtis (Paula) of
Florida; David Wright (Deb) of Wisconsin;
Gary Wright (Julie) of Michigan; Annette
Wright of Tennessee; and Michael Wright
(Camille) of Colorado. She also leaves
behind many grandchildren, great
grandchildren, nieces and nephews; her
sister Joann Richey, her sister-in-law,
Rosemary Horning; a family friend, Jean
Berry, and her family in Pensacola. Janet
dearly enjoyed her circle of friends in
Cleveland.
She was an
avid reader and loved to talk politics. She
worked the polls in Cleveland. In previous
years Janet and Charles traveled extensively
around the Great Lakes in their boat and
later enjoyed RVing throughout the States.
Her favorite pastimes were gardening and
bird-watching, watching a good western,
keeping up with college football, and
knitting. She loved cooking, entertaining
and trying out new restaurants. And she
loved her cats, especially “Muffin.” Janet
was a strong-willed woman whose favorite
saying was, “I’m a realist.” She loved to
dress up – and was a person who stood out in
a crowd. She will be greatly missed.
A memorial
and visitation will be held from 3-5pm on
January 6 at Trahan Funeral Home in
Pensacola, FL.
