August Heiden (left) weighed some hogs on February 18, 1892. He paid 15 cents for use of the scale to get the weight of 855 pounds of hogs (probably 4 of them). Looks like he was selling them to a W. Rothdon They must have been in a wagon that weighed 1,060 pounds. At that time, it would have from August's home farm at 8700 South Custer Road.
