The 1950 U.S. Census listed the Walter (46) and Edith (32) Heiden family living at this address. Their children Gerald (14), Wayne (10), Patricia (5) and Daniel (3) were included as was Walter's brother, Elmer (41). Walter was shown as a "Flour Packer" for the Teddy Girl Flour company.

The 1940 U.S. Census, has them living with Walter and Elmer's parents, Ernst and Anna (Knack) Heiden on South Custer Road.

The family must have moved to 650 Alford Road shortly after this census because the kids got on the school bus that I was riding every morning during the mid-1950s. My family lived on the Laskey Farm at 12444 Dixon Road which was about 100 yards east of where Alford Road and Dixon Road intersected and about a half mile from their Alford Road house.
