   Herbert Charles Getty
was born on December 26, 1876 as the son of
Charles and Ellen
(Deline) Getty.
He married Gina B.
Iverson in February of 1899
and they had three children:

Nellie May Getty

Bert Lloyd Getty

Alice Marie (Getty) Langdon
  The
family lived in Oregon and then, Fairmont, Minnesota
while Herbert was young. He volunteered for the U.S.
Army in 1898 and was part of the 15th Minnesota
Volunteer Infantry during the Spanish American War.
Herbert was mustered out on March 27, 1899.
Herbert died at
Barnes Veterans Hospital in Vancouver, Washington on
January 20, 1963 at the age of 86. He is buried at
the Old Vancouver City Cemetery.
Gina who was born in
Norway on September 30, 1880, died on June 21, 1977
at the age of 96. She is also buried at the Old
Vancouver City Cemetery. |
