Frank William Rehmann, Sr. was born circa 1912 in New Jersey. He was the seventh child of Christian Wilhelm and Ida (Scull) Rehmann.

The 1910 census shows them living at 102 West Foundry St., Ward 3, Millville, Cumberland County, NJ.
