HUGILL Ann Elizabeth Hugill,
age 88, passed away on Thursday, October 4, 2012. She was
born in Royal Oak, Michigan, on February 13, 1924, to the
late Elmer and Blanche Rolph.
She was preceded in death by
her husband of 45 years, William R. Hugill, son Stephen W.
Hugill, sister Virginia Rolph, brother Durward Rolph;
brother-in-law Tom Ferrell and nephew Tom Ferrell.
Ann is survived by her
daughter, Deborah (Kenneth) Butler; daughter-in-law, Kim
Hugill; granddaughter, Sandra Hugill; sister, Lorainne
Ferrell; nieces, Virginia Shirley and LeAnn Ferrell; nephew,
John Ferrell; and step-granddaughter, Jaime Butler.
Ann worked at Holley
Carburetor in Detroit before starting her family. At the age
of 56, she started another career with Wendy's International
where she worked for 25 years, retiring at age 81.
She was warm and outgoing,
and she loved interacting with people. As a result, she was
well-known and loved by many for her witty and fun-loving
personality. Ann also loved to travel, especially on annual
trips with her daughter to the Stratford Festival in
Ontario. She was a longtime member of Jerome United
Methodist Church, where she was active for many years.
A Celebration of Life Service
will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, October 21, 2012, at the
Northwest United Methodist Church, 5200 Riverside Drive,
Columbus, Ohio 43220. In honor of Ann, bright colors and
smiles are mandatory for all who attend. In lieu of flowers,
contributions may be made to Kobacker House, c/o OhioHealth
