Frank Henry Heiden was born on June 14, 1897 as the first child of Ernst "Ernest" and Anna (Knack) Heiden. He was born at the family home at 8925 South Custer Road.

As with all the children in the family, he attended the one-room Fonia School which was located about a mile or so away at 11411 Trost Road through the 8th grade.

A June 16, 1911 article in The Dundee Reporter tells of a car accident involving Frank and two of his friends. He was struck by a car when he swerved away from the other two riders and into the path of the auto. He was run over by the tires and suffered a broken leg between his knee and hip along with a scalp wound.

On September 14, 1924 at the age of 27, Frank died of a viral inflammation of the heart called myocarditis He is buried in the St Matthew Lutheran Church cemetery in Raisinville Township. He never married and had no children.

Ernest (51) and Anna (42) were living at at 8920 Custer Stone Road i.e. South Custer Road with their children Frank (22), Edwin (20), Walter (16), Ada (12), Elmer (11), Florence (8), Ervin (6) and Alfred "Dave" (4)

He was listed as being married at the age of 18 and had gone through the 7th grade in school.
