Wayne Lee Heiden, Sr was born on Wednesday, October 18, 1939 in Dundee, Michigan. He was the second child of Walter and Edith (Spaulding) Heiden.

He graduated from Dundee High School and worked as a carpenter and pattern maker.

Wayne married Patricia Ellen Gurtzweiler on August 20, 1960 in West Immanuel Lutheran Church in Ida, Michigan. She was born November 7, 1942 and was a graduate of Tecumseh High School.  Pat worked as a pharmacy tech.

They had two children.

 Wayne died on October 22, 2014 in Sebring, Florida at the age of 75. Patricia who was born on Noveber 7, 1942 passed away on March 20, 2022. Their son, Chris, passed away in 1997.
