Our history of the Rambow Family starts with Nicolaus Rambow who was born in 1754 in Joerdenstorf, Germany. His grandson, Heinrich Rambow, Jr. came to America in 1874. Two of his daughters, Mary and Fredareka married Heiden brothers, William Carl and Herman respectively.
Joerdenstorf is another small German town about 12 miles north of Gross Wokern which was the home of August and Rika Heiden..

It can help to see a physical representation of facts and other data involved in a family history. This partially explains the use of "family trees" with relatives scattered among the branches which helps to bring order to things.
