Harold Arthur Heiden was born on Monday, September 17, 1934 at the family home. He was the son of Arthur and Mildred (Roggerman) Heiden.

He attended King and Bridge Schools and graduated from Dundee High School in 1953.

While in high school, he was a member of the National Honor Society and played baseball, football and performed in the band.

After graduation, he entered the Tool and Die Maker program at Ford Motor Company. Harold completed his apprenticeship in 1958 and subsequently worked as Plant Manager for Janson Tool & Die Co. in Toledo for 31 years. He returned to Ford as a Layout Inspector and CMM Programmer at the Milan plant until his retirement.

On May 22, 1954 he married Carol Jean Boos in a ceremony at St. Paul’s Methodist Church in Monroe. Their first home was at 9 West Lorain Street in Monroe.  After living a number of years in Sandusky, Ohio and Monroe, Harold and Carol split there time between their homes in Temperance, Michigan and Florida. They had three sons. One son, Scott died on Saturday, June 29, 2024.

Harold enjoyed fishing and boating on Lake Erie. He and Carol traveled extensively through the U.S., Canada and Europe. He liked taking trips out West to ski and also liked to do wood carvings.  

Harold passed away on Friday, November 24, 2023 and Carol died on Friday, February 2, 20024. Both are buried at Roselawn Memorial Park , LaSalle, Michigan.

Occasionally while doing genealogical research you run across a "cute" little coincidence. According to an article in The Dundee Reporter, my brother, Harold, was elected Secretary of the 8th grade class on Monday, September 13, 1948. I was busy being born that day.
