Wilhelm Rehmann was born in 1839 in Brunswick, Germany. He was the son of Carl Heinrich "Conrad" and Sophia (Heineke) Rehmann.

He immigrated from Germany with his family on the SS Louise Marie which landed in Philadelphia on May 16, 1851.

Wilhelm married Anna Marie Rohm who was born about 1837. They had four children.

2. Carl George "Charles" Rehmann (1865- )

3. Elizabeth (Rehmann) Smith (1867- )

4. Wilhelmina Katherine Rehmann (1869- )

In 1862, the family was living at 684 North Thirteenth Street in Philadelphia.

Wilhelm died in 1871 in Atlantic County, New Jersey at the age of 32. He had become a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1864.

In the 1880 census,  Mary is listed as the wife of George W. Fox.
